Larissa Crummer from Melbourne City FC, has been named the inaugural winner of the Westfield W-League NAB Young Footballer of Year at the Dolan Warren Awards night which was held at the Carriageworks in Sydney tonight.
Crummer, the October nominee for the award, finished above Angela Beard (November nominee – Brisbane Roar FC), Amy Harrison (December nominee – Sydney FC) and Princess Ibini (January nominee – Sydney FC).
Crummer also collected the Westfield W-League Golden Boot Award after scoring 11 goals during the regular season and was instrumental in helping Melbourne City FC claim an historic Premiership/Championship double in their very first season in the competition.
Speaking shortly after receiving her award, Crummer was humbled to be named the inaugural Westfield W-League NAB Young Footballer of Year 2015/16.
“It was a massive surprise to win the award.
“Obviously we had an amazing season and this was really the icing on the cake.
I would like to thank the whole team at Melbourne City FC, because without them I wouldn’t have got this award.
“Also, I would like to thank NAB for sponsoring this award and supporting young female players in the Westfield W-League.

Crummer will receive a $10,000 NAB personal investment portfolio, along with a NAB Private Client Manager to assist with a range of banking and financial services.
