Adelaide United will travel to face Western Sydney Wanderers FC in the semi-finals of the Westfield FFA Cup 2017.

The Reds progressed to the last four of the cup competition following a 3-0 win over Victorian outfit Heidelberg United last week.
Adelaide are yet to concede a goal in the tournament, having brushed aside Newcastle Jets (1-0) and Melbourne Victory (3-0) in the Round of 32 and last 16 respectively.

Following the draw, Reds Head Coach, Marco Kurz said: “We are looking forward to taking on Western Sydney in the semi-finals of the Westfield FFA Cup.

“So far we have had some good performances in the competition and have done well to progress to this stage of the tournament.

“It will be a difficult game because only the best teams are left when knock-out competitions are at this stage.

“The FFA Cup is important to our Club and we have a good history in this tournament, so we want to perform well and do everything we can to earn a place in the Final.”

The date and venue of this fixture will be confirmed in the coming days.
