“It’s very exciting for me. It’s a great individual achievement,” said Arzani.
“It’s also a little bitter sweet because we got knocked out of the semi finals, but it still feels good.
“I would like to thank my parents first and foremost and my brother for their support Also everyone one at (Melbourne) City, fans, the gaffer, because he’s the one that gave me my chance and I wouldn’t be here without him. My team mates; they are a great bunch of lads, and everyone at the club.”
“I’d like also to thank NAB very much for this award. They are a big supporter of the Hyundai A-League and it’s an honour for me to receive this award, Arzani concluded.
Thomas Dobson, NAB’s Head of Media & Partnerships, presented the award and said “As a supporter of the NAB Young Footballer of the Year Award, NAB is proud to play an important role in recognising and rewarding the stars of tomorrow,”
